Agentic AI
AI systems that plan and execute multi-step tasks against real systems, rather than only generating text.
The difference from a chatbot is action. An agentic system searches availability, compares options, holds inventory and can complete a booking. Travel is an obvious application and a hard one: 91% of agencies work across four or more booking systems, which is exactly the fragmentation under which an agent cannot reason reliably.
