OTAs are both the incumbent distribution layer and an active participant in the AI shift. 951.6 million EU guest nights ran through Airbnb, Booking and Expedia in 2025, roughly a third of the EU total. Whether assistants route around that concentration or reinforce it is the open commercial question of the decade.
