An open protocol for connecting AI assistants to external data sources and tools.
MCP standardises how an assistant discovers and calls a capability, which turns 'integrate with every assistant' into 'expose one server'. Travel adoption is early but real: TourismIntel runs a public MCP server for travel industry intelligence, and Sabre has built one for travel distribution.
